G&T FISHING SCHOOL & CHARTERS - Hinchinbrook operates from HINCHINBROOK, QLD, 4849
G & T Fishing School & Charters offer both Fishing Tutorials and Fishing Charters with fishing expert Graham Knight who has more than 30 years of local fishing experience. Full and Half Day Charters target Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Fingermark and other estuary species, and operate between Townsville and World Heritage listed Hinchinbrook. Our 5.8 metre boat is named "Crews Control" and is a one off Custom built Spirit "Channel Pro" powered by a 140 Suzzy. She is a very stable fishing platform for both lure and fly fishing.
About the Owner: A local to the Townsville Region, Graham Knight has over 30 years experience over a wide variety of aspects within the fishing industry. Through this varied experience, Graham has developed an extensive knowledge and a better understanding of how lures work and how they can be manipulated to give you better results chasing that target species. These techniques have proven very successful for Graham over the years and having participated in his fair share of fishing competitions, including sportfishing and gamefishing plus various line class competitions, he has certainly been able to put his techniques to the test.
Our Fishing Tutorials can be designed around what YOU want to learn. From the basics of setting up your rod and reel, choosing your line, learning different knots, right through to the more in depth learning of how tides and water temperatures influence fish activity and what to look for on the water to give you the best chance of putting your lure right where those fish are waiting. Whether you are just getting started and want to learn from the basics or are an experienced angler and just want to learn a new style, let Graham pass on his knowledge to you through one of his fishing tutorials.
Our Fishing Charters come with the local knowledge Graham has to provide and can take you where the "locals" don't go. Specialising in lure and fly fishing charters, targeting estuary species such as the famous Barramundi, Mangrove Jack and more. Multi-day fishing packages are available including airport pickup, accommodation and fish the Townsville and/or Hinchinbrook areas - and no need for hire car costs. Trips
Target Locations: Most charters are conducted around the Hinchinbrook Island area but some Charters can be done close to Townsville. Normal hours on the water are 7am to 4pm. Departure time can be customised for half day trips or to suit your needs.
Target Species: Our target species are Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Finger Mark, Threadfin Salmon just to name a few.
Departure Point: Anywhere from Townsville to Cardwell
