BKs Gold Coast Fishing Charters was founded by Bob Krojs (BK, the original) and is a family owned and operated business that has been providing quality offshore reef and sports fishing charters, as well as calm water fishing on the Gold Coast since the opening of the Seaway in 1987. 34 years and tens-of-thousands of passengers later, Bob retired in 2021 and his daughter, Bec, and her partner Kaleb (BK, the sequel) took the reins and purchased the business. Bec, since 2000, and Kaleb, since 2011, have gained a wealth of knowledge from Captain Bob that they will continue to apply and add to, to keep providing the friendly service that BKs Fishing Charters has become known for. Meet your crew here. ALL are extremely welcome on our Gold Coast fishing charter, from first-timers to experienced anglers, sightseers, Mum, Dad, kids, grandparents, the boys’ or the girls’ day out. Your skipper and deckhand will gladly assist you in a safe, fun and friendly atmosphere. We supply rods & reels from quality brands like Penn, Tackle Tactics, Samaki & Okuma. We source quality frozen and fresh/live bait, as well as proven lures of which we keep a large supply on board. For our offshore charters, we fish with bait on unweighted and weighted rigs all year, as well as casting and trolling lures during the pelagic season (Nov – June). For our inshore charters, we fish with either bait, or lures, using light gear to target all estuary species from the humble whiting, to trophy species like big flathead.
